But Don't All Religions Lead to God? by Michael GreenTitle: But Don’t All Religions Lead to God?
Author: Michael Green
Major Themes: Christianity, Religion
Synopsis: By comparing the beliefs of the world’s main religions, the author proves the falacy of the thought stated in the title of this book.

I like to read something inspirational every morning as we begin our school day. Lately, I’ve been reading a Bible Story for the younger ones and But Don’t All Religions Lead to God? to the older children. I’ve found it to be quite inspiring for myself, as well.

Michael Green, in this small book, helps you to navigate the multi-faith maze, as the subtitle states. He takes the idea that all religions are just different paths to God, and shows how that cannot be possible. The first three chapters cover the misconceptions, “It doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you are sincere,” “Aren’t all religions much the same?” and “But surely all religions lead to God?” In each chapter, he shows what the world’s great religions, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity, believe in different areas, and proves that they are not much the same, and, no, they don’t all even claim to lead to God. And about sincerity? Remember Hitler?

The rest of the book talks about Jesus and what makes Him stand out; the chapter that really spoke to me was the one about how no other great teacher offered to live within His followers! Of course not. Allah is unapproachable, and Hinduism and Buddhism don’t have a personal god at all. If you’re doubting your faith, this little book is a great encouragement. I recommend it highly to anyone in early high school or older.

No warnings!
